Berkshire pigs


Berkshire pigs are a breed of pig from the English country of Berkshire that are bred and raised in several parts of the world. The Berkshire pig is not all black, but has white, including white socks from the "knee" down and typically a white blaze on its snout. 


Berkshire pork is renowned for its richness, texture, marbling, juiciness, tenderness and overall depth of flavor. It is thought by many to be the Kobe beef of pork. It is said to have a very specific tast. 




Berkshire är en brittisk grisras som har sitt ursprung i Berkshire distriktet omkring 1790. Färgen är svart med vita tecken på nosen, fötterna och svansspetsen. 

Berkshire gris ar en av de absolut bästa köttraserna bland grisar. I Japan rankas det som det bästa grisköttet och rasen heter Kurobuta.
